Rentpath, Inc., formerly knwon as Primedia, Inc.

Rentpath, Inc. (formerly Primedia, Inc.) disclosed the theft of computer hardware from its facilities in June 2012. Forensic analysis revealed that a stolen storage device contained names and Social Security numbers of affected individuals. The perpetrator was arrested. The company engaged Kroll Advisory Solutions to provide 12 months of credit monitoring and identity theft safeguards. Remediation included implementing encryption and enhancing physical security.
