Reiter Brothers, Inc. notified the California Attorney General that a former employee of their third-party payroll administrator sent reports containing employee names, addresses, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and financial account information to a personal email account. The unauthorized emails were sent on August 12 and August 26, 2019. The company learned of the incident on or around October 3, 2019, during an investigation into suspected theft by the former employee. Law enforcement was notified, and one year of credit monitoring was offered to affected individuals.
