Sound Generations

Sound Generations, a non-profit serving older adults and adults with disabilities in Washington, experienced two ransomware incidents on July 18 and September 18, 2021. An unauthorized party gained access to computer systems and encrypted information. Affected data includes names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, dates of birth, and for some individuals, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, health information, and financial account numbers. The organization terminated access, conducted an investigation, and enhanced cybersecurity controls. Credit monitoring was offered to affected employees.
