Testa Associates, LLC, a financial advisory services provider, notified the Maryland Attorney General of a data security incident. On October 16, 2024, the company became aware of suspicious activity in its email environment, leading to the unauthorized acquisition of one employee's mailbox contents between October 1 and October 16, 2024. The incident potentially exposed the personal information (name, address, date of birth, and Social Security number) of one Maryland resident. Testa Associates engaged independent forensic reviewers, offered 12 months of credit monitoring and identity protection services, and implemented additional technical security measures.
