American Lending Center notified South Carolina residents of a July 2025 ransomware incident that compromised names, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers. The breach was discovered via a data mining initiative completed on April 8, 2026. The company engaged forensic investigators, implemented additional security safeguards, and offered IDX identity protection services (credit monitoring and ID theft recovery) to affected individuals. No evidence of current misuse was found.
