On June 5, 2020, an unauthorized individual gained access to an Ardent Credit Union employee's email account. The account contained members' names, Social Security numbers, and/or driver's license numbers collected during normal business operations. Ardent blocked the unauthorized access, engaged a forensic vendor, and offered Experian credit monitoring to affected individuals. Notification letters were sent in January 2021.
