On December 18, 2024, NEEI identified suspicious activity indicating unauthorized access to its IT network between December 9 and 18, 2024. The attacker copied files containing PII of NH residents, policyholders, agents, and employees. NEEI engaged a third-party cybersecurity firm, isolated systems, and reported the incident to law enforcement. Affected individuals were offered Experian IdentityWorks membership.
