The attacker accessed a server containing HR-related personal information, created a copy of the data, and attempted to exfiltrate it. CMG notified the FBI, engaged outside cybersecurity experts, and implemented enhanced security controls. Notification letters were sent November 2, 2021. No confirmed misuse of data was identified.
