Mount Diablo Unified School District notified parents that a coding error in the SchoolMessenger mobile application (provided by Intrado) randomly disclosed contact information (names, emails, phone numbers) of other parents and students to users. The incident was discovered on September 14, 2020. The district immediately shut down access to the application and is investigating with the vendor. No evidence of misuse was found.
