Update Legal notified individuals that a suspect in custody was found with a smartphone containing digital photographs of I-9 forms from Update Legal's San Francisco office. The images potentially contained names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver's license numbers, email addresses, passport numbers, state IDs, military dependent IDs, US Citizen IDs, Certifications of Birth Abroad, Birth Certificates, and addresses. Update Legal commenced an internal investigation, retained legal counsel, and offered one year of identity monitoring services via Experian.
