Post Falls Police Department (Idaho) notified the Idaho Attorney General on Feb 22, 2022, of a LockBit 2.0 ransomware incident discovered Feb 19, 2022. The attack resulted in the encryption of files and exfiltration of data, including PII of one individual. PFPD engaged forensic investigators, deployed Sentinel One, and is cooperating with the FBI and Secret Service. The threat actor threatened to publish data unless a ransom was paid.
