Amherst College notified Massachusetts residents of a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to student and employee records. The breach compromised personally identifiable information, including Social Security numbers and dates of birth. The College is offering 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring through Experian IdentityWorks and advising affected individuals to place fraud alerts or security freezes on their credit files.
