Kyocera International, Inc. reported that on October 29, 2024, an employee downloaded files containing personal information that had inadvertently been made accessible via the company's intranet site. The data exposed included names, dates of birth, government IDs, SSNs, benefit enrollment info, and bank account/routing numbers. The company disabled access to the site, launched an investigation, and offered identity monitoring services through Kroll. No evidence of misuse by the employee was found.
