Backcountry Gear

Backcountry Gear experienced a data breach involving malware installed on its server, compromising customer payment card information (names, addresses, credit/debit card numbers) between April 27 and July 17, 2014. The malware was detected and removed by July 23, 2014. Backcountry Gear notified law enforcement, its merchant bank, and the three major credit bureaus. The site was secured, and customers were advised to monitor financial accounts and change passwords.
