Avis Budget Group, Inc. notified employees that a third-party benefits provider inadvertently sent a file containing names, addresses, and Social Security numbers to another client on October 2, 2015. The data was briefly viewed by two individuals at the recipient company and then deleted. No evidence of misuse was found. Affected individuals were offered one year of Experian ProtectMyID identity protection.
