Reiter Berry Farms, Inc. reported a data breach involving a former employee of its payroll administrative services provider. Between August 12 and 26, 2019, the former employee sent payroll reports containing names, addresses, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and financial account information to a personal email account. The incident was discovered on September 23, 2019, during an investigation into suspected theft. The company notified law enforcement and engaged Epiq to provide one year of complimentary credit monitoring and identity restoration services to affected individuals.
