Beer Industry - Local Union No. 703 Health and Welfare Fund reported that an employee was the victim of an email phishing scheme, resulting in unauthorized access to an email account containing the protected health information (PHI) of 9,279 individuals. The compromised PHI included names, addresses, driver's license information, Social Security numbers, health insurance information, and financial information. In response, the entity provided notifications to HHS, affected individuals, and the media, implemented additional administrative and technical safeguards, and conducted further staff training.
