Brea-Olinda Unified School District (BOUSD) notified parents of a data security incident impacting the Aeries Student Information System (SIS) in late April 2019. Unauthorized access revealed parent/student login credentials, physical addresses, emails, and password hashes. BOUSD and Aeries engaged law enforcement, made arrests, and hired an independent third-party auditor. Affected parents were offered password resets.
