Platt College, Los Angeles LLC experienced a data breach on January 13, 2017, due to a technical error that caused 1098T Tuition Statements to be mailed to incorrect student addresses. The statements contained names, last four digits of SSNs, tuition amounts, and scholarship/grant totals. The college notified affected students on January 30, 2017, requested return of the misdirected statements, and offered one year of complimentary credit monitoring via Experian.
