McMillan Metro, P.C. reported a data breach to the Maine Attorney General, stating that an external system breach (hacking) occurred between September 21, 2021, and September 24, 2021. The breach was discovered on August 11, 2022. The compromised information includes names or other personal identifiers in combination with financial account numbers or credit/debit card numbers along with their security codes, access codes, passwords, or PINs. One Maine resident was affected out of a total of 1,728 individuals. Affected consumers were notified on November 7, 2022, and offered one year of credit monitoring and identity theft protection services from IDX.
