Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. reported the theft of five laptops from its 401(k) plan auditor's offices during May 18-20, 2012. The laptops contained personal information, including names and Social Security numbers, of Petco associates from 2010 and 2011. Petco notified affected individuals on July 28, 2012, offering one year of free credit monitoring through Experian. No evidence of misuse was found at the time of notification.
