Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., as former 401K service provider for KDW Automotive, mistakenly sent an email containing personal information (names and SSNs) of plan participants to another financial institution and a business customer on November 6, 2019. The error was discovered December 23, 2019; recipients confirmed deletion of the data. No misuse was identified. Notification letters were sent April 20, 2020 with an offer of two-year Experian IdentityWorks credit monitoring.
