Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) notified the California AG of unauthorized access to its IT systems identified in October 2024. The investigation, completed in July 2025, confirmed that personal information including SSNs, financial account numbers, and health diagnoses may have been accessed. HACLA engaged forensic experts, notified law enforcement, and is offering 12 months of credit monitoring to affected individuals.
