ZocDoc, Inc. disclosed a data breach caused by programming errors that allowed some past or current staff members of medical or dental practices to access the ZocDoc Provider Portal after their authorization was intended to be revoked. The incident began in August 2020. Affected data may include names, email addresses, phone numbers, appointment history, insurance member IDs, Social Security numbers, and relevant medical history. ZocDoc repaired the errors, notified affected practices, and offered 12 months of identity monitoring via Experian.
