Blood Systems, Inc. reported a data breach affecting its eDonor portal. Between August 29 and September 2, 2018, unauthorized access occurred, resulting in the theft of donor profiles containing PII (names, addresses, DOB, blood type, contact info) and health data (blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.). Attackers used stolen credentials to fraudulently redeem loyalty points for gift cards. The portal was temporarily disabled, passwords were reset, and points restored. No financial or SSN data was compromised.
