Fraudulent tax returns were filed using clients' Social Security Numbers and public information. The firm identified 30 fraudulent returns, reported the incident to the IRS, Secret Service, and law enforcement, and engaged forensic investigators. No unauthorized access to the firm's systems was found. The firm provided credit monitoring and identity theft insurance to affected clients and dependents.
