On May 14, 2019, the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) inadvertently disclosed confidential data regarding state-licensed cannabis cultivators to an unauthorized email address. The released information included account manager names, license interfacing dates, modification dates, and CCTT credential status. CDFA stated the data did not compromise system access or require identity theft protection. The department is reviewing and revising CalCannabis procedures to prevent recurrence.
