The incident occurred at a third-party billing vendor, Communications Data Group, Inc. (CDG). On Feb 13, 2025, CDG discovered a ransomware attempt and terminated unauthorized access. On Mar 17, 2025, CDG confirmed unauthorized access to DUO Broadband customer data. No evidence of misuse was found. DUO Broadband retained legal counsel and engaged Kroll for credit monitoring.
