Acadia Montana Treatment Center (MT) reported to HHS on 2019-05-17 a Hacking/IT Incident affecting 14,794 individuals. An employee's computer was infected with malware, compromising ePHI stored in email systems. Exposed data included names, addresses, birthdates, drivers' license numbers, diagnoses/conditions, lab results, and medications prescribed. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and media, and remediated by retraining staff, implementing additional technical safeguards, and sanctioning the responsible workforce member.
