Berwick Academy notified the New Hampshire Attorney General of a cybersecurity incident involving its third-party provider, Blackbaud. A threat actor exfiltrated data from Blackbaud's systems between February 7, 2020, and May 20, 2020. The incident involved an attempted ransomware attack which was stopped, but data was removed. Personal information, including full names and Social Security numbers, of approximately 1,265 New Hampshire residents was potentially exposed. Berwick Academy engaged forensic experts, notified the AG on February 11, 2021, and offered credit monitoring services to affected individuals.
