Comnet Marketing Group, Inc. notified Montana residents of a ransomware attack on April 22, 2016, followed by a storage system failure on April 24, 2016. An unauthorized user gained access and deleted storage volumes. Data potentially included names, addresses, phone numbers, SSNs, and dates of hire. No evidence of misuse was found, but unauthorized access could not be ruled out. The company engaged forensic experts, took systems offline, and offered 12 months of Experian credit monitoring.

Comnet Marketing Group, Inc., a vendor for AAAS, experienced unauthorized access to its systems on April 24, 2016. The attacker deleted data collected from AAAS members between April 2015 and January 2016, including names, addresses, phone numbers, and payment card info. While no evidence of acquisition was found, 8 NH residents were notified on July 8, 2016, and offered 12 months of credit monitoring.
