First State Bank, a financial services organization, experienced an external system breach (hacking) that occurred between November 2, 2020, and November 9, 2020. The breach was discovered on December 9, 2020. The compromised information includes names in combination with financial account numbers or credit/debit card numbers along with their security codes, access codes, passwords, or PINs. The bank provided substitute notice to affected residents on January 5, 2021, and offered one year of credit monitoring and identity theft protection services through Experian.

First State Bank of Pinedale notified New Hampshire regulators and customers on August 20, 2008, regarding a lost backup computer tape containing names, account numbers, and Social Security numbers of 4 NH residents. The tape was lost in transit on July 30, 2008. The bank contacted law enforcement and provided one year of free credit monitoring.
