South Coast Winery Resort & Spa and Carter Estate Winery Resort notified customers of a data breach involving their third-party reservations provider, Sabre. An unauthorized party gained access to account credentials in Sabre's SynXis Central Reservations system, allowing access to unencrypted payment card information (card number, expiration, potentially security code) and reservation details (name, email, phone, address) for a subset of hotel reservations. The unauthorized access occurred between August 10, 2016, and March 9, 2017. Sabre confirmed the incident to the resorts on June 6, 2017. Reservations made directly with the resorts were not compromised.
