NextGen Healthcare, Inc. notified South Carolina residents of a data incident where an unknown third party gained unauthorized access to personal information (name, DOB, address, SSN) between March 29 and April 14, 2023. The incident was discovered on March 30, 2023. NextGen engaged forensic experts, reset passwords, contacted law enforcement, and offered 24 months of identity theft protection.

NextGen Global Resources discovered on November 12, 2017, that an employee inadvertently responded to a phishing email, allowing an unauthorized party to create an email forwarding rule. The unauthorized access dates back to July 2017. Affected individuals include employees, contractors, and customers whose names and Social Security numbers (full or partial) were exposed via forwarded emails. The company scanned all employee email accounts, found no other instances of unauthorized access, and is offering one year of credit monitoring through LifeLock.
