On December 7, 2020, The American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts discovered that it had inadvertently disclosed the personal information of one Maine resident in October 2012. The compromised information included the individual's name and Social Security number. The organization notified the affected individual on January 15, 2021, and offered two years of identity theft protection services through Kroll.
