(PPI) disclosed that a hacker implemented malicious code on its website (ppi2pass.com), gaining unauthorized access to personal information submitted during transactions between March 9, 2017, and September 3, 2017. The incident was discovered on September 19, 2018. Affected data included names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and credit/debit card information (card numbers, expiration dates, and CVV/CSV). PPI engaged a third-party forensic firm, contacted law enforcement, enhanced security measures, and offered two years of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection to affected individuals.
