Hendry Regional Medical Center (HRMC), a 25-bed critical access hospital in Florida, notified consumers of a cybersecurity incident detected on August 25, 2022. An unauthorized third party gained temporary access to HRMC's network, potentially exposing patient data including names, addresses, DOBs, SSNs, medical info, and phone numbers. HRMC engaged external IT specialists, secured the network, and offered 12 months of credit monitoring. Notification was sent March 12, 2024.
