THE FREDERICK GUNN SCHOOL, INCORPORATED

The Frederick Gunn School notified the New Hampshire Attorney General of a security incident involving its third-party provider, Blackbaud. A threat actor conducted an attempted ransomware attack and exfiltrated data from Blackbaud's systems between February 7, 2020, and May 20, 2020. The incident affected one New Hampshire resident, whose full name and Social Security Number were potentially accessed. Frederick Gunn engaged forensic experts, determined the scope, and provided the affected individual with two years of credit monitoring and fraud assistance. Blackbaud paid the threat actor to ensure data destruction.

The Frederick Gunn School reported a data breach to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation. The breach was reported on 2021-01-13. 13 Massachusetts residents were affected. The report records the breach type as electronic.
