The error inadvertently allowed an MFS customer to view Form 1099 tax forms of unrelated accounts. Affected data included names, addresses, account numbers, and tax reporting amounts, but excluded Social Security numbers. Two New Hampshire residents were among those affected. MFS removed the forms from the system, increased account monitoring, and offered one year of free credit monitoring via Equifax.
