East West Bank notified California residents that their debit cards were used at Kmart stores between September 1 and October 9, 2014, during a period of unauthorized access to Kmart's payment data systems. Kmart's investigation was ongoing and had not yet determined if cardholder data was stolen. East West Bank is monitoring accounts and offering card reissuance and credit monitoring.

East West Bank notified California customers in October 2014 that their debit cards may have been compromised due to unauthorized access to payment card data at AB Acquisition LLC (Albertsons, Acme, Jewel-Osco, Shaw's, Star Markets) stores between June 22 and July 17, 2014. East West Bank monitored affected accounts and encouraged customers to obtain free identity protection services via AllClear ID.

East West Bank notified California AG that debit card data for its customers was compromised due to the Home Depot payment card breach (April 11 - September 7, 2014). The bank reviewed affected accounts, monitored transactions, and offered card reissuance. Home Depot provided identity protection services.

East West Bank notified customers that their credit card data (names, card numbers, expiration dates, and PINs) was compromised due to unauthorized access at Target stores between November 27 and December 15, 2013. East West Bank issued new cards and monitored accounts for 30 days.
