Travis County Credit Union based in Austin, Texas, a financial services entity reported a data breach to the Texas Attorney General. The breach was discovered on 2026-03-03 and reported on 2026-07-31. 2,996 Texas residents were affected. 3,315 individuals affected in total. Types of information involved: Name of individual;Address;Social Security Number Information;Driver’s License number;Government-issued ID number (e.g. passport, state ID card);Financial Information (e.g. account number, credit or debit card number);Date of Birth. Consumers were notified via Posted at company website or special website;U.S. Mail.

Travis County Credit Union notified Massachusetts residents of a phishing incident discovered on March 3, 2026, where unauthorized actors accessed a limited number of email accounts containing customer personal information. The incident was contained, and the Credit Union engaged forensic investigators, reset credentials/MFA, and offered 24 months of credit monitoring via Experian. No evidence of identity theft was found.

Travis Credit Union reported that skimming devices were placed on a drive-up ATM at its Dixon, CA branch. The incident affected members who conducted debit card transactions between July 16, 2018, and August 22, 2018. Compromised data included name, card number, expiration date, and PIN. The credit union deactivated affected cards, issued replacements, and worked with the ATM manufacturer to enhance security.
