Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP experienced a security incident where an unauthorized third party gained remote access to its network between February 28 and March 13, 2023. The attacker obtained files containing personal information, including data related to MultiPlan, Inc. clients. Orrick detected the access on March 13, 2023, blocked it, and engaged forensic experts. Identity monitoring services are being offered to affected individuals.

MultiPlan, Inc., a business associate of UltraBenefits, experienced a data breach on December 23, 2020, which was discovered on January 27, 2021. The breach was described as an external system hack, compromising Social Security numbers. Two Maine residents were affected and notified in writing on June 24, 2021. MultiPlan offered two years of credit monitoring, fraud consultation, and identity theft restoration services through Kroll. The total number of affected individuals was not disclosed.
