On May 5, 2022, the City of Chula Vista identified evidence of unauthorized access to its computer network, with the breach occurring between May 4 and May 5, 2022. The City secured the network and engaged cybersecurity professionals. Select documents potentially accessed may have included names, addresses, and other personal information. The City is offering one year of complimentary identity protection services via Experian IdentityWorks and evaluating additional safeguards.
