SAFE 1 CREDIT UNION

SAFE Credit Union notified the California Attorney General of an incident on December 12, 2025, resulting in the unintended disclosure of member information. Affected data included names, addresses, account numbers, balances, Social Security numbers, birthdates, and email addresses. The organization placed account locks, required additional ID confirmation, and offered 12 months of Norton LifeLock identity theft protection. No specific attack vector or threat actor was identified.

SAFE Credit Union detected skimming devices at two ATM locations in California (Citrus Heights and Sacramento) between May 6 and July 15, 2025. Card numbers, names, and PINs may have been compromised. Members were notified on July 30, 2025, and offered card replacements and account monitoring.
