Fortera Credit Union, a financial services organization, reported a data breach that occurred on January 14, 2021, and was discovered on April 20, 2021. The breach was an external system breach (hacking) that affected one resident of Maine. The compromised information included the resident's name and Social Security number. Fortera Credit Union offered the affected individual one year of identity protection services through Experian.
