A former employee misused approximately 15 Employment Access Center (EAC) clients' information for identity theft; law enforcement notified the CE. Exposed data included names, SSNs, addresses, and dates of birth — no health care component data was involved. Breached information was located in 'Other' systems. The CE notified all affected individuals, offered free credit monitoring, enhanced EAC database safeguards, and completed a third-party security risk assessment.
