City of Carthage, Texas

On or about December 17, 2024, an unauthorized actor accessed the City of Carthage, Texas network and potentially viewed and/or copied certain files containing personal information. The breach was discovered approximately 13 months later, on January 22, 2026, following an extensive forensic investigation. Three Maine residents were affected. Experian identity theft protection and credit monitoring services (12 months) were offered to affected individuals.
