The American Armed Forces Mutual Aid Association reported a data breach to the Maine Attorney General, stating that an external system breach (hacking) occurred between January 28, 2021, and January 31, 2021. The breach was discovered on February 20, 2021. The compromised information includes names and financial account numbers or credit/debit card numbers with their corresponding security codes, access codes, passwords, or PINs. A total of 390 Maine residents were affected. The association began notifying affected individuals on March 5, 2021, and offered 24 months of credit monitoring services through Experian.
