San Francisco University High School notified individuals that their name and Social Security number were potentially accessed via a ransomware attack on its vendor, Blackbaud, Inc. The unauthorized access occurred between February 7, 2020, and May 20, 2020. Blackbaud discovered the incident in May 2020 and notified the school on July 16, 2020. Backup files containing client data were exfiltrated and encrypted. Blackbaud paid a ransom and confirmed the files were destroyed. The school offered two years of identity monitoring services.
