The employee inadvertently attached 2017 IRS Form W-2s for certain employees and former employees, exposing names, addresses, earnings information, and Social Security numbers. Three New Hampshire residents were affected. NFP notified law enforcement, the IRS, and state taxing authorities. Affected individuals are offered three years of complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft protection from Experian. NFP is implementing additional employee training and system changes to prevent recurrence.
